2009-2010 Band Calendar

CONGRATULATIONS SYMPHONIC BAND, CONCERT BAND, AND DEVILETTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This past weekend was a very successful few days of the entire WHHS
Band Program. To start, Friday afternoon March 5th, Concert
Band traveled to Tenoroc High School
for Concert MPA. Their performance there was the best of any of the
entire year. This performance earned them a straight Excellent
Rating.
Next,
that Friday evening the Symphonic Band
performed at THS for their concert MPA performance. This as well was
their best performance of the entire year earning them straight
superiors from all judges allowing them to advance to State MPA.
Finally,
This past Saturday, March 6th, the
Devilettes
attended the Marching Auxiliaries (MA) Southeast Regional
Championship Dance and Auxiliary Competition at Seminole High
School. The team did very well bringing home a Super Sweepstakes
award, which requires at least 3 routines to be entered and a score
of 90 or higher on all 3 routines from all 3 judges, and the girls
did just that. They also received a High Point award for having one
of the top scores for their Military routine. Not only did the team
do well as a whole but the Hip Hop ensemble was awarded first runner
up for quartets. The soloists also received no less than superior
ratings as did the senior duet. Congratulations to Seniors
Lauren Floyd and Kayla O'Leary, Sophomores Jimmesha Atmore, Mariah
Perry and Stephanie Woodward and Freshmen Abby Carter, Breanna Noel,
Armani O'Neal and My'Neisha Roberson. The Devilettes made us proud
this weekend. Keep up the great work ladies.
